DVO Family Fun Night with Chicago Dogs Baseball 2026

Rosemont, Illinois: It was a beautiful night at Impact Field as 125 guests, including 48 kids, came together for a sold-out evening in support of Domestic Violence Outreach.
Executive Director, Shannon Medic Young, threw an impressive first pitch, Founder and Board Chair, Father Chuck Dahm, O.P. was surrounded by loyal friends and longtime DVO supporters, and families filled the bullpen enjoying ballpark favorites, conversation, and time together. Kids loved their Fun Packs, and the DVO photo booth was a huge hit with guests of all ages. We were also proud to celebrate the sponsors who helped make the night possible. Guests went home with amazing prizes, Chicago Dogs hats, and the feeling that they had helped make a real difference. The evening ended with spectacular fireworks lighting up the open sky over Impact Field. Best of all, thanks to the generosity of our supporters, sponsors, donors, guests, and volunteers, we exceeded our fundraising goal and raised $16,300 to help DVO bring HeaRT and healthy relationship education to more students and communities. We are so grateful to everyone, new friends and loyal supporters, who made this night such a success. We can’t wait to do it again next year! |

Elmhurst, Illinois: DVO celebrated its 11th Annual Benefit Gala with a brunch at Elm West on Sunday, March 22, 2026.
Over 185+ people came to celebrate the progress of the ministry and meet DVO's new Executive Director, Shannon Medic Young, while also celebrating in Father Chuck Dahm's, 89th birthday! We extend our sincerest gratitude to all those who supported and attended, the greeters, planning team, Executive Committee, and to Board member, David Bearden, for capturing so many photos of the morning. |

Rosemont, Illinois: DVO kicked off the first-ever Family Fun Night at Impact Field cheering on the Chicago Dogs baseball team on June 14, 2025! 75 fans, from young kids to adults, enjoyed a delicious ballpark buffet, the Miller Lite Bullpen Section, and Chicago Dog baseball hats while cheering on the Chicago Dogs. DVO Director, Father Chuck Dahm, threw out the ceremonial first pitch and a walk-off win kicked off postgame fireworks, too! Families enjoyed connection while enjoying a truly top-level ballfield experience. Domestic Violence Survivors' Mass 2023
Chicago, Illinois: The 8th Annual Domestic Violence Survivors' Mass was held at Holy Name Cathedral (735 N. State Street) in beautiful downtown Chicago on September 30, 2023, to kick off Domestic Violence Awareness Month. DVO Director, Father Charles Dahm, O.P. was the presider among a robust crowd of parish ministry members, friends, and even tourists. Domestic violence survivor, Flor, shared her testimony on breaking her silence and freeing herself from her abusive relationship.
